Hello everyone! This week has been fantastic as always! Here are my Top 5:D

1. CLAYS BAPTISM: Our investigator Clay got baptized! It was so cool. He is an older gentleman with an amish beard. He is a jokester and a total goofball. I only got to teach him a few lesons but it was so awesome to have any part in a baptism. Clay is awesome and everyone in the branch just loves him! Baptisms are awesome, what else can i say?

2. CORN: I understand why people live here now. I had my first Iowa sweet corn and my life will never be the same. It was amazing! I could have eaten ten cobbs, but i didn't. But yeah, Iowa Sweet Corn is manna from heaven.

3. ZONE CONFERENCE: We had Zone Conference in Nauvoo so i got to see my old district which was fantastic! We had lots of good trainings and we even had a group from the pageant come and perform a little bit. It was awesome!! Zone Conference is the best!

4. MOSES MAKEOVER: I proclaim Moses Makeover a success! We cut her hair into a pixie cut and dyed it red. Then for Zone Conference i put makeup on her and made her shave her legs. She looked Gorgeous! and she felt pretty. She got a million compliments and i also got a million compliments. Sister Jensen even came up to me and said thanks for helping her. It was a total win win situation and super fun if i might add. The only problem is i never got a picture of her all done up cause i got a migraine on the way home and had to sleep it off the rest of the day. But there is a pic of us on the mission fb page.

5.TRACTING: We have still been tracting our brains out! We have one investigator. One. That is not good. We keep tracting and tracting but Washington does not like us at all. We had one guy chase us off his porch while he yelled some unrepeatable things. It was hilarious! But yeah thats been pretty much all weve been doing all day every day. Maybe i'll get a nice tan...that would be nice. haha

BONUS: Ok first of all this story comes with a language advisory so dont let kids see this. Fair warning. So we went and had dinner at a members house last night and they had the cutest and most friendly german shepard i have ever seen! i could go on and on about this dog but the funny thing was her name. Her name was CrazyB*%^$. Yep. But they have a son and when he was little they didn't want him saying that word so they changed it to CoogButch. So thats her name when theres kids around but when theres not...it has the other unfortunate name.

Alrighty i am out of time so i will send some pics and that will be it. Sorry this week wasn't as long or interesting. But as always I LOVE AND MISS YOU TONS!!!!!
until next time...xoxoxo Hermana Rice

Before: just your basic bob with bangs. I told her she has way too much a fun personality to have such average hair.
After: Oh my lanta what a difference! Her eyes pop and that red! it totes matches her amazingly vibrant personality! Most importantly...she loves it!

This week has been super slow but still a good one. We're mostly just trying to survive this INTENSE, HUMID, DEATHLY HEAT!!!! I might literally melt into an Hermana Rice puddle. Anywho, here is this weeks Top 5:)

1.CLAY: Clay is an investigator that the Hermanas have been working with for about a month and he is getting baptized on the 18th! So thats coming up fast. He is an older guy that looks like santa claus and is funny and slightly awkward. He is awesome! He calls Hermana Moses "Velma" and he calls me "Snow White" haha. It has been so busy getting everything ready for his baptism. He is golden though and i'm super excited for him!

2. MAKEOVER MOSES: So my amazing companion Hermana Moses is the most low maintenance plain Jane girl I've ever met. Which is weird cause she also has one of the most colorful and bright personalities I've ever seen. So it doesnt match. Well, after promising bucket loads of ice cream, she agreed to let me makeover her for Zone Conference this friday. I am sooooooo excited! Anyone who knows me well should know how over the moon happy this makes me. I even got her to chop her hair off to a pixie cut and dye it a light coppery red. We have an appt. for that tomorrow! So yep i'll definitely send pics!

3. PRIMARY: We got to teach primary again and i LOVED it! We taught the 6 year olds first hour and the 10 year olds the second. The 6 year olds were soooo hard! They wouldn't sit still or listen or stop yelling. Finally we had half of then doing my hair and the other half helping Hermana Moses draw a missionary story on the chalk board. I guess it worked... Man, if those little guys weren't so cute they would be in huge trouble! The 10 year olds were better. We were asked to teach last minute so we read the lesson title like 2 min. before class. Luckily it was on the parable of the talents so we know it well. At first the class was rotten but then we decided to pretend that we didn't know the story and had them teach it to us. Then i pulled out a bunch of pesos that i happened to have with me from Mexico and used them as an object lesson. That went really well but we finished too early so Hermana Moses decides to share her talents and make origami animals for the class. They loved that! So they got to go home with pesos and origami animals i don't think its too bold to say that that lesson will go down in history :P

4.FOOD: So everyone knows that i am super picky and it has been a challenge for me out here but i have good news. Washington has amazing cooks! Every meal that i have eaten has been soooooo good!!!! I love Washington so much and i am so grateful that i haven't had to choke down nastiness. I hope this doesnt jinx me....Nah i think i'm safe.

5. TRACTING: Oh my lanta we have been tracting soooo much!! We are desperate for new investigators and so we have been tracting and tracting and tracting. Yesterday we tract for 4 hours straight!! It was crazy and i definitely sweat buckets! We met a lot of interesting and super sweet people and we met a bible basher which was super fun. It has been rough but i have totally gotten over whatever remnant of fear i had for knocking so yay! But yeah, mucho tracting here in Washington.

So yep that was my weak. It was great! I sure do love being a missionary! It is seriously the bestest thing in the whole wide world!!!!! Alrighty well I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALL!!!!! Until next time....xoxoxoxoxo

Hey Everybody! This week has been awesome! So much has happened and i hope i have time to say everything and not leave anything out! Alright here i go! Hermana Rice's Top 5 for this week! Enjoy:D

1. TRANSFERS: I got transfered! I am no longer in Mt. Pleasant:( I am now in another small town called Washington. Its very similar to Mt. P but it is a little bigger. I already love it here! My new companion is Hermana Moses. She is basically a weirdo in the  most lovable way! Some fun facts about her she plays the bagpipes, is from Texas, has ADD and is hysterical when she forgets to take her meds, and her favorite animal is llamas! I love her to death! We have discovered that we are basically the same person, really we have a lot in common! its crazy! She is awesome! Oh and we have a companionship joke: What do you get when you mix Moses and Rice?..........Gluten free manna! hahahaha think about it...its cheesy but we think we are clever! The only downside about Washington is our apartments air conditioning is broken and i am going to die!!!!!! Thank heavens we have lots of fans and otter pops to keep us cool but i am still roasting slowly. NO BUENO! I dont do heat.

2. ELDER WATTS: Guysssssss Elder Watts is in my district!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!! I told Pres. Jensen to never put us together cause we will kill each other!! Really though at District Meeting he threw a plastic knife at me and i insulted him in every way possible. Seriously we can't be in the same room. This may or may not bring about the Second Coming. So everyone prepare for that. Ugh i cant handle that kid! Pray that we dont murder each other.

3. 4TH OF JULY: So this fourth of July wasn't super fantastic. We had lunch with a member and had the BEST tamales i have every had in my entire life!!! Then we went tracting and literally no one was home cause obviously everyone is doing fun stuff for the holiday! Then we went to another members house and had dinner. Traditional BBQ hamburgers and fruit and potato salad and lemonade and all that good stuff! Soo good! And they have three kids that adore the missionaries and are soo fun!! That night we fully intended to go out and watch fireworks and we were chilling at our apartment cause we had to be in by 6 and we both fell asleep at 8. So we completely missed fireworks but we got some apparently much needed sleep. So yeah it wasn't a bad day.

4.PAGEANT: So i was super depressed that i got transfered because that meant i wasn't going to translate at pageant and i was super sad cause i worked really hard so i could do it right and all that. Then at transfers Sister Jensen came up to me and said that my hard work wouldn't be in vain and i get to go and translate one of the nights and they sent me to Washington because its the closest Hermana area to Mt. Pleasant! Oh my lanta i am soooooo excited!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):)

5.CHURCH: So church was so fun! Washington is a branch too so its pretty small but its bigger than Mt. P. So it was fast Sunday and the branch president told my to get up during testimonies and introduce myself and bear my testimony. Obviously i hate talking in front of people so i was terrified. The first person went up and did her thing then no body got up and it was silent. After a couple min. i was like this is silly so i got up and introduced myself and bore my testimony and sat back down. Silence again. For like 5 min. Then Hermana Moses got up and was like Washington! Youre bumming me out! I know you guys have testimonies so come up and share them! Then she bore hers and sat down. That got the ball rolling and it was a great meeting! My companion is the best! The rest of church we spent in Primary! It was soooo fun! Herman Moses says Primary is the celestial kingdom of church and i absolutely agree with that!! It was a fantastic day!!

So yep that was my week! Its was sooooooo great! I can't express how much fun I am having and how much i love missionary work!!! BEST. THING. EVER!
LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!!!!! Until next time....xoxoxoxo
